Hi, I’m Kayla. I’m so glad you are here. Allow me to share a little bit of my story and why my passion has led me to this point, inspiring others on their health journey.
Years of bad choices caught up with me about 2 years after having my youngest son. I was only 26 and felt like I was 66. I ignored how I felt and thought it was my new normal. I was then introduced to non-toxic products through a friend and couldn’t believe what I was learning. I was stunned! I all of the sudden had a plethora of knowledge on environmental toxins. This led to further education on overall health and wellness. I realized my symptoms were not normal and I needed to dive into this new knowledge a bit further.
As my symptoms progressed I needed answers and a solution. Something had to change. Joint pain, itching, mood swings, brain fog, digestion issues, stomach cramps, and more were a daily challenge. I had a 2 year old and a 4 year old. I wanted to be present and give them my best. I began to seek help but was given no real answers. It took me going through a few Doctors before I felt like I had somewhat of an understanding of what I was going through. I found a Dr with a more holistic approach and his warning about worsening thyroid health and diabetes pushed me to change and further educate myself on non-toxic living with an addition to looking into the foods I was consuming. I replaced household products with cleaner alternatives, improved my diet, and learned about gut health. This led me to further blood work showing food sensitivity to wheat, egg whites, and peanuts. These 3 common foods were major culprits behind my discomfort and I’ve only discovered more sensitivities over the years. I have spent hours on research and education learning how to improve my health and combat the symptoms I experienced for so long. It didn’t happen overnight, but I slowly began to restore my health. My symptoms started to subside and it is now my mission to help others do the same. I have learned one change will never be a solution. It is truly a lifestyle change addressing your foods, stress, sleep, environment toxins, and more.
While I could never do it perfectly, I'm committed to whole foods and non-toxic living for my family's well being. My 10-year-old unfortunately has gut issues and sensitivity to gluten which has only inspired me more to study holistic nutrition and help others on their wellness journeys. Feeling awful isn't normal; you can change your story. Let's embark on this journey together!
